Padme is a feminine name of Sanskrit origin, meaning "lotus flower." The Lotus of Life pattern in this collection was inspired from the painted ceiling of the Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in Madurai, South India, which depicts a stylized 1,000-petaled lotus flower—a symbol of elevated consciousness. 

Emerging pure and beautiful from murky waters, the lotus flower symbolizes resilience, purity, and enlightenment. Its daily cycle of blooming and retreating signifies renewal and strength in the face of adversity.
