Lakshmi Dress
Story
It absorbs and holds energy, drawing us inward and strengthening our connection to what lies beneath the surface. Linked to transformation and inner strength, it supports introspection, resilience, and a deeper awareness of the self.
But because it absorbs rather than reflects, wearing only black can begin to contain rather than express, softening visibility, muting presence, and at times making us feel less seen, both by others and within ourselves.
This is why every black piece in the Faraway collection carries a symbol. Some are embroidered with roses, the flower with the highest energetic frequency of all living things, a symbol of love in its purest form. Others are printed with the twelve-petalled lotus, the sacred symbol of the heart chakra, with a rose at its centre. Small but intentional, these symbols in red and green bring light, love, and energetic balance back into the darkness.
Wear black when you wish to feel strong and centred, knowing that the symbols you carry keep the energy open, alive, and connected to the heart.
The Rose
The rose is one of the oldest and most universal symbols across human history. It has appeared in the sacred texts, poetry, and art of nearly every culture — not as decoration, but as meaning.
In ancient Greece it was tied to Aphrodite, the goddess of love, and carried the idea that beauty and the divine are inseparable. In Islamic mysticism, and most powerfully in the poetry of Rumi, the rose is the soul in bloom — the symbol of divine love and the longing for union. The nightingale sings endlessly for the rose, unable to stop. It is devotion made into image.
It is also the highest vibrational living thing on earth. In the language of energy and frequency, nothing in the natural world carries a higher resonance. This is perhaps why, across so many traditions and so much time, the rose has always been associated with the sacred, the pure, and the deeply felt.
To wear it is to carry something of that.
